The service schedule for electric cars is likely to be similar to that of standard internal combustion engine (ICE) cars, to ensure all the auxiliary elements and consumables are safe. However, the cost of the service is likely to be far lower than for an ICE.

The North East is an Ultra Low Carbon Economic Area, and is encouraging the development of “green collar” jobs in the North East. These will include education and training courses specifically relating to the servicing of electric vehicles in the North East.
