The Smith Electric Vehicle Edison Minibus is being put to good use with Stockton Borough Council, as part of an eco-driving module for local authority drivers in the region.
As well as the environmental benefits associated with converting a fleet to ultra low carbon, there are significant financial savings to be made as well.
The Transport and Operations Research Group (TORG) at the University of Newcastle have developed the foot-LITE in vehicle information system to encorage safer and greener driving.
